Develop Units on the Webducate LMS

Develop units wiith ease using the Webducate LMS. Courses are a collection of Units structured in a specific order, and likewise Units are a collection of Elements, and Elements a collection of Pages.  Webducate supports both professional content Authors and Training Providers (collectively called Developers) enabling them to build Units using our intuitive online interface.

Webducate Authors are required to meet strict quality guidelines which ensures that all published Units are of the highest quality, and deliver exceptional value to our Training Provider Members.  Our Authors are able to set wholesale price points for the purchase of their Units and resale by Webducate to Training Providers. As these Units are ultimately consumed by Students, Webducate tracks each enrolment and collects royalty fees on your behalf.

Training Providers have a choice of three membership levels. Silver Members are able to create Community Units which are freely shared with all other Webducate Members. Gold Members can create both Community Units or Private Units for their use only.  Training Providers can not sell or license their Units through the Webducate Learning Resource Library but can apply to be considered as a Author should they feel their material is of a commercial quality.

Unit creation is simple and intuitive whilst offering incredible flexibility. Developers can use multiple media types during Unit creation including MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint, Flash, HTML, Images, Audio, and Video (including YouTube).  This facilitates fast content creation and maximises developers' return on investment.

SCORM is also supported allowing compliant content to be easily imported in just a few minutes.  Arrange a FREE demonstration of the Webducate today and join the world's fasting growing Online Learning Marketplace.

Multiple Assessment Options

Webducate provides multiple assessment types including System Marked and Trainer Marked.  Students receive instant results from system marked multiple choice questions which can allow for single and multiple responses.  Trainer marked assessments include Short Answer, Case Study and Workplace Projects and can allow students to upload documents, audio and video with automatic allocation to the trainer for manual marking and feedback.

Simple Online Learning Resource Development

Webducate provides a simple and intuitive interface that allows members with only basic computer skills to transform printed learning resources into an engaging online format quickly and easily. This is as simple as copy/paste from a Word, Excel, Powerpoint document or uploading image, video or audio files. The system automatically creates page titles and a navigation side menu bar so that you can easily rearrange, insert, delete or clone content .

Inbuilt Version Control

Webducate allows multiple versions of each unit to be delivered simulaneously or sequentially. When a unit is changed, existing students continue to access the superseded unit until they have completed their course but new students access the updated and newly published unit. As a result of this feature, Webducate is often considered to have set the benchmark for compliance in the relevant sections of AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration - Condition 5 and Standard 1.

Import from MS Word

Microsoft Word content can be copied / pasted directly into the Webducate WYSIWYG editor automatically removing all extraneous formatting codes.

Add Video & Audio

Upload flash, video and audio files into the Webducate WYSIWYG or stream them from Youtube and other media sites whilst embedded in your content.

Animation

Webducate enables Authors and Developers to add and upload animations in the form of games or interactive media for content delivery and assessment.

Marking Guides

During the marking process, trainers can view the students response and compare it to a professional marking guide created by the original resource Developer.

Community & Private Units

Webducate "Silver Members" can create "freely shared" Community Units and "Gold Members" are also able to create hidden "Private Units" that are only accessible to their own organisation.

Moderation Process

The unit creation process allows approved external moderators or industry representatives to access, view and provide feedback to the Author prior to publishing.

WYSIWYG Editor

The Webducate WYSIWYG editor provides our Developers with a Microsoft word like interface for content editing, text formating and image uploading.
